PROVEN TOUGH ALL-METAL DRIVELINE

XRT performance and durability begins with its all-metal 8S driveline. Steel 4-gear differentials and steel driveshafts are joined by a high-strength extruded aluminum center shaft. It’s a precision-engineered recipe that has been proven monster-truck tough in the X-Maxx.

RACE-INSPIRED LOW-CG CHASSIS

XRT’s performance-focused chassis design is configured to lower the center of gravity for superior handling and stability. The dual 6700 4S batteries and the steering servo are positioned to place the weight as low as possible in the chassis and provide protection for these critical components.

PATENT-PENDING CLIPLESS BODY

XRT’s patent-pending clipless body easily removes and installs in just seconds and yet it locks in place with incredible strength and security. The system uses a cage inside the body to minimize flex while external skids are strategically placed to protect the body.

GRAVIX RACE TIRES

XRT’s Gravix^® race tires are a revolutionary new hybrid design with densely packed biting edges and sipes. They deliver outstanding grip on hard-packed surfaces along with fast and quiet-running precision.

VXL-8S POWER SYSTEM

X-Maxx pioneered 8S toughness with an engineered all-metal driveline. XRT uses the same Traxxas-Tough™™ driveline with sealed 4-gear differentials and extreme-duty diff covers to increase bearing support and eliminate flex.

INTEGRATED COLD-AIR INTAKES

Innovative cold air intakes direct cooling air over the motor and speed control for increased efficiency and run time. The hood mounted intake integrates with the shock tower to deliver air to the VXL-8STM Speed control. The roof vent channels cooling air directly to the dual motor fans.

WATERPROOF ELECTRONICS

There's a difference between waterproof and water-resistant. XRT continues the Traxxas legacy of giving you patented, best-in-class waterproofing solutions and the freedom to drive where you want, regardless of the elements.

PATENT-PENDING CLIPLESS BODY

XRT wears the toughest clipless body yet with a full internal frame and wide attachment points that virtually eliminate tear-through damage. A thick roof skid plate forms an integral part of the frame with front and rear buttressing for superior rigidity.

SMOOTH CHASSIS DESIGN

XRT's interlocking skid plates integrate precisely with the chassis to create a smooth under tray to absorb ground impacts uniformly for predictable, snag-free performance.

SECURE BATTERY STORAGE

XRT protects your battery investment by positioning the batteries deep in the chassis with full side protection for battery packs. Rugged snap-lock battery retainers keep a firm grip on the batteries no matter how intense the action gets.

High-Downforce Wing

XRT's rear wing provides added stability for 60+ mph speed runs and integrates neatly with the clipless body for a sophisticated look. The wing mount soaks up even the hardest landings without transferring shock energy to the chassis.

XRT Race Wheels

XRT's large 3.8" race wheels feature a matte black finish for a high-tech look. A huge 24 mm splined hub maximizes surface area with 17 mm aluminum lock nuts to secure them in place.

Integrated Wheelie Bar

XRT's wheelie bar helps prevent backflips under full-throttle acceleration and flexes to absorb impacts on less-than-perfect landings. The integrated wheelie bar also functions as a convenient handle to transport XRT to your next adventure.

Rugged Top Skids

XRT's rugged top skids protect the clipless body from damage. Internal reinforcements maintain the body's integrity.

Gravix Race Tires

XRT's revolutionary Gravix tires are built to run hard at the track or in the wild.

The directional tread pattern runs quieter than typical off-road tires with excellent traction and a thick center carcass to prevent ballooning at high speed.

Integrated Cold-Air Intakes

Cold-air intakes are fully integrated into XRT's clipless body frame for maximum strength and tear prevention. The lower intake even features an internal grille to keep rocks and other debris out of the chassis and away from the steering components.

GTX Race Shocks

GTX™ aluminum race shocks are built for ultra-smooth, long-lasting performance. The heavy-duty springs and shock bodies are tuned for high-performance handling that complements XRT's low and lean stance.

Integrated Shock Tower Design

XRT's shock towers are an integral part of the frame with massive buttresses to dissipate shock loads throughout the chassis. Heavy-duty receivers secure the clipless body latches directly to the towers for maximum strength.

Modular Chassis

XRT's chassis relies on modules that key into each other at precise angles to add strength and support where it's needed most. This high-strength design also makes maintenance a breeze.

Aluminum Heatsink with Dual Fans

XRT's aluminum heatsink wraps around nearly 75% of the motor's exposed surface to pull out more heat. Dual electric fan shrouds draw cooling air from the body vents through the oversized fins for more effective cooling performance and longer run times.

Rock Solid Motor Mount

A rock-solid motor mount cradles the motor and locks it in place so it can't flex or slip out of position. Four keyed pins set the gear mesh, eliminating the need for complicated adjustments.

Snap-Lock Battery Retainers

Hook and loop battery hold down straps are messy, frustrating, and steal time away from your driving fun. Traxxas engineering solves this with our proven snap-lock solution that securely holds and protects batteries. You can even insert body clips for maximum battery security.

Waterproof Electronics

XRT's fun is not limited by mud, snow, or water. A sealed receiver box with an easy access port protects the TQi receiver for all-weather driving.

High-Performance Steering Design

XRT's dual-bellcrank steering system delivers sharp handling and fast reflexes with the security of a heavy-duty cam-style servo saver. The servo saver sits at the top of the steering post, keeping it away from dirt and debris that can affect performance. Special vents keep everything running smoothly by evacuating dirt and debris away from the steering components.

Rugged Skid Plates

XRT's three rugged skid plates key together tightly to protect the chassis from damage. The front skid plate was designed at just the right angle to kick the front end up and prevent digging into the ground when landing nose down.

Extreme Impact Resilience

XRT's suspension arms are made from our toughest heavy-duty composite material with double-shear connections for incredible strength. The rear wing and front bumper mount with an oval support ring that deflects just enough to absorb impact forces while returning to its pre-formed shape almost instantly.

Solid Steel CV Driveshafts

Thick constant-velocity steel driveshafts increase XRT's suspension travel and steering angles with legendary Traxxas-Tough™ durability. Splined differential outputs provide incredible strength with easy cleaning and service.

Large Sealed Bearings

Extreme-duty front and rear hub carriers feature oversize bearings to handle the XRT's 8S drivetrain. Full-contact bearing seals keep out dirt and grime for less time spent on cleaning and maintenance.

Torque-Biasing Center Drive

The all-metal Torque-Biasing Center Drive uses 20M weight oil to transfer power evenly to all four wheels to prevent unloading under full-throttle acceleration.

Shock-Absorbing Cush Drive

Proven in the 8S X-Maxx, the Cush Drive absorbs driveline shocks but sends pure uninterrupted power straight to the Torque-Biasing Center Drive for relentless acceleration.

Aluminum Splined Driveshaft

A large-diameter aluminum center driveshaft carries power to the front and rear differentials. Splined drives are used throughout for precise engagement, incredible strength, and smooth running. Innovative felt seals keep dust and debris out of the central tunnel.

Sealed 4-Gear Differentials

XRT's sealed 4-gear differentials are proven tough and feature our largest ring and pinion gears. They are filled with heavyweight oil, giving drivers the confidence to power slide through turns with massive roost and total control.
